Good Summary of latest of Fire

This from a local site called The Mountain Pulse about the location and travel of the fire. We are safe and watching all the action in East Jackson. Still no evacuation but the advisory still stands. We have taking packed up and loaded cars as a just in case, as we travel with a little bit more cargo these days. As of today the fire has not dropped significantly into the Cache Drainage which you will see on the map.

Hot topic

Well, the fire in our area continues to burn. Being obsessed with fire, we can hardly pull Miles away from the window!! "Hot! Hot" he keeps saying. As of tonight it has reached cache creek, two miles from the trail head. We are all safe and sound, but beginning to put some thought into a plan B. This last clip is a funny movie Madelyn made after running off with the camera:)

Madelyn has always gravitated to drawing beautiful patterns and designs. Today after finding a drawing book that showed animals, she created these fun pieces - an alligator and a peacock! I love how different they are from her usual work!
