Glam pirate

Bet you've never seen a pirate like THIS!

Well, we're all making the transition back to school... Feeling a little bit hairy by 5:30 pm, but we will settle into the new routines shortly and get back into the groove!

Camping

Maddie and dad went on a quick camping trip up in the park Friday. We had a great time swimming in the lake, playing on the beach, cooking s'mores over the campfire. We both look forward to many more adventures!!

Garden beauties

Look at the amazing sunflowers up at the Shuptrine's garden! I've been getting to the garden for the past few weeks as the kids are gearing up with "school" twice a week. Not a better spit to be in the valley.

Other news... School starts up for me on Monday. I'm feeling like we has a great summer and I'm ready to get back to it! And, I cut off most of my hair in a rash move last week. Getting used to it slowly, but thinking I won't really own this haircut for another few weeks...

Swim suit or hat?

Believe it or not, Miles has been carting his swim diaper around, asking us to put it on his head... He loves it as a hat!

Good old' St. John's

Ah, the things we do for entertainment these days... Today we picnicked on the lawn of St. John's Episcopal Church before hitting up our local thrift store Browse N' Buy... Here is Madelyn feeding Mary, Joseph, and baby Jesus a bight of her PBJ. And the best part was that as we left, she turned over her shoulder and said to Mary, "good bye Sacajawea!" then turned to me and said, "let's just pretend... Ok mom?"

Also on the lawn if St Johns is a cool maze. Madelyn finally had the patience and stamina to complete it today! Miles was a bit puzzled watching it all. And afterwards, Madelyn had worked up a sweat and we went for a little ice cream at Moo's. Miles was quite satisfied with a dry cone... Wonder how long I'll be able to get away with that!

Hucks and Jackson Lake

Today the whole fam went north and picnicked in a great huckleberry patch. After lunch we did some picking- not a bad haul for having a 1 and 4 year on the scene! Then down to the lake for a quick dip. Such a beautiful day, we have plans to do it tomorrow again!

Kelly warm springs

Maddie-mamma date last Thursday (miles started up part time at his new "school"). We headed to the Warm Springs and had such a great time lounging, decorating our shoes, hunting for frogs, and just watching the ants go by.
