Adventure day around JH

This weekend Michael and I celebrated out 10th anniversary (!) with a kid-free hike on one of our 'neighborhood' trails up Woods Canyon. It's always such a treat to find yourself somewhere new and still be a stones throw from home! Look what cool fossils we found!

And then, we all met up with good friends Emmy, Dave, Molly, and David this evening for String Lake fun, a cook out, and some elk bugling. Perfect evening with friends we miss:)

Rock hounds

Yesterday we (plus Joanna and Karsten) drove out into the Gros Ventres just above Slide Lake to try our hand at fossil hunting! We ended up in the red rocks (not prime for fossils), but had a fun time smashing up rocks just the same!

Tub time

Taking turns giving hairdos in the tub tonight... Lots of silly giggles!:)

Back in Ditch Creek

The fam piled in the car this morning and we made our way to Ditch Creek, our old stomping grounds. We hiked up to Upper Meadow and played a few rousing games of hide and seek:). So great to be back up there, we all agree we'd like to be up in that special little nook far more in the future!
