Catch up from the holidays

Holiday highlights! My parents and brother visited, which was great! Miles and Madelyn both had great holiday performances at their schools-Miles is still a shy performer, and Madelyn takes it quite seriously:) We put together a cookie decorating party with little friends where the kids and I then delivered all of the cookies to our neighborhood nonprofits who help folks in need of a little extra holiday cheer... Madelyn really started to grasp the idea of 'giving to others in need' even if it was just cookies this year. You have to start somewhere!

ABC dance

Madelyn's class put on a great performance called the ABC dance (dancing the letters of the alphabet). They spent the week practicing different ways of moving, mirroring, creating space/shapes, rhythm, and art for the backdrop... Madelyn was the letters M, V, and T. She was a little nervous about it all, but did a great job! I can't get video clips to publish right now, but have a few pictures of the event.

Missing tooth!

Madelyn's first tooth just fell out! Last week, Gma Jude thought to ask Madelyn if she had any loose teeth- Madelyn felt around her mouth and low and behold!! After a week of wiggling, her tooth made a dramatic exit tonight just before bed time. Within seconds, she had Gma Jude on FaceTime to tell her the exciting news! We are all excited to meet her personal tooth fairy, or at least find evidence of him/her in the morning!
