A great hike at the L. Rockefeller Center in The Park today with Karsten, Chris, and Joanna... We saw a cinnamon black bear ( no, that picture has zero zoom, we were close, not on purpose!) Madelyn bravely conquered her fear of bears with grace! The kids gave a great "ranger" talk afterwards: what to do wen you see a bear, the difference between spiders and flies, where to find slugs....most enlightening!:)

Mothers day

Thanks to my family for making me a mother! I had a fabulous day at the Murie Center beach- sketching and painting with
Madelyn, tossing rocks in the river, snacking at Dornan's, and biking to the horses (Miles in tow and Madelyn peddling on her own!). And, much love to our own amazing mothers- you're the best!
