4th of July weekend

A fun weekend, balancing out-and-about with catching up on some rest! Pizza night at the Windsor's on Friday night, a fun hike up Cache Creek on Saturday morning (Madelyn walked most of the way on her own! Impressive!), and we had a great time at Tate's 3rd birthday party yesterday.

Here's a picture of Madelyn all dressed up for the hike... Madelyn has been extremely independent minded these days about getting dressed by her self - she is often spotted these days with clothes on backwards (on purpose), jammies during the day time, dresses at night, etc. We just go with it because, hey, she'd doing it on her own, and that saves us the trouble!:) The mitten/sock on her hands were her last minute fashion decision to protect herself against mosquitos.





Miles has been starting to fill out... he had surpassed his birthweight and was 6lb6oz at his 2 week checkup last Friday... I'm starting to see his face and limbs smooth out (no more wrinkly skin!). He is still sleeping for most of the day, but really alert when up, enjoying to stare at his polka-dot sheet. He's moving his head around from side to side and able to hold it up for a few seconds on his own... fun to watch the process of "becoming a person" unfold again!
