A kelly tradition is the flag raising with the whole school on the first day and taking it down on the last day of school with a kindergartner and 5th grade student to help. Madelyn had the honor of being the kindergarten rep to raise the flag on the first day of school!

1st day at Kelly School
Miles and Michael dropped big sis of at Kelly school today for Madelyn's first day of kindergarten. Exciting for all, although a little tough on miles as we were driving back into town he was asking for maddie. Nothing a construction site stop couldn't handle.
Madelyn did great and it helps that she knows Kelly school, her teacher Ruth so well, and moms just down the hall!

Funny pics
These funny little people keep us laughing:)
Here is Miles with a baby in his 'tummy'
Here are Queen and King M.
Madelyn at a butterfly birthday party this afternoon (biking home in wings of course!)
And a short saunter up Cache Creek this morning (yes, Madelyn hikes in full bling!)

Last day of summer for Lisa
August
Still having loads of summer fun... Play date with Asa, we made home made ice cream with raspberries! Miles got so down and dirty with his bowl that he needed a full bath!
Madelyn did some excellent weaving down at the Snake River while playing with Karsten
The kids and I biked (Madelyn all by herself, its not a short ride!) down to the farmers market this Saturday. We found the summer's best peach and some beautiful flowers
And last night we had a surprise visitor right after dinner - this duck showed up out of nowhere, walked down the sidewalk, to our back alley, threw a few yards and disappeared... A total mystery;)
