M and M and I snuck out to String Lake for a quick adventure today. It felt great to soak in cold water with the sweltering heat! We found a few huckleberries and will start some serious huck scouting later this week I think!
We all went on a great hike on Sunday. Madelyn was a super hiker despite really hot weather... Perhaps encouraged by a little skinny dip in the river (pictures not available). Miles practiced throwing rocks , and then we all retired to a shady nook where Madelyn pretended that we were a tribe living on fish from the river and lychee nuts from the trees (she is clearly Lisa's daughter!)
No more snow cones for us! Just some good old' fashioned petting Zoo time, 4-H livestock, sting rays (I know, in Wyoming!!), and a kids music show featuring our budding percussionist.
Miles teeth continue to pop through at an alarming rate... What he lacks at night he makes up for by day with a pretty cute grin!
Well, two for two, we have hit some BIG rains while camping this month! We met up with 3 other families and had such a party! The weather was beautiful enough early in the day to jump in Jackson Lake (3 leeches!?), but as the evening passed, we were limited to hunkering down under the tarp (lucky to have it!). It poured all night (unusual for around here) but we managed to stay dry. The sun came out this morning and Mike even managed another dip in the lake.
